Man charged with murder of woman found in South Loop

A man from Kenosha is now charged with first degree murder in the death of his girlfriend whose body was found in the trunk of a car at Chicago's Greyhound bus station over the weekend. 40-year-old Matthew McDowell is also charged with hiding a corpse. The charges were filed in Wisconsin. Police say he called them and told authorities where they could find the victim's body. 30-year-old Erin Ziemendorf of West Allis, Wisconsin was found stuffed inside a duffel bag in the car Sunday evening at the bus station in the South Loop. She reportedly died of blunt neck trauma caused by an assaul and she was killed in Kenosha and driven to Chicago.
